Divisional Overview:

The Chief Data Office plays a key role in defining and implementing the firm's data, cloud and AI strategy, driving change through these capabilities, enforcing data, cloud and AI governance for the firm, and elevating Nomura's data culture. Governance remains a critical focus area, and the Chief Data Office, in partnership with Business and Corporate functions, is responsible for ensuring that the firm's data assets are managed in line with the firm's data management framework, policy and standards.

Job Responsibilities:

 

The primary purpose of the role is to provide financial management and analysis support to the Global, assisting in the execution of the following processes:

    • Budgets and actuals tracking
    • Monthly employee to project time allocation and reporting
    • Business allocations
    • People and projects static maintenance
    • Financial reporting and explains
    • Contracts negotiation, execution and invoicing

 

In addition to global responsibilities, the incumbent will support the Powai CAO in internal governance, reporting and communications:

    • Business continuity planning and coordination
    • People and culture development
    • Communication material preparation
    • Internal operational risk management
    • Administrative and governance execution
    • Operational MI reporting
    • Remediation planning and execution

 

This is a multi-faceted role for a self-starter to gain a deep understanding of strategy and operations of a global function.

 

Qualification & Core Skills requirement:

 

  • At least 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Excellent presentation skills with experience in creating senior management presentations.
  • Experience in risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Audit tracking tools or BCP applications preferred.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in building Power BI dashboards would be desirable.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
