Function Overview

 

Chief Data Office is the Group Central Data and Analytics arm that works closely with the Group Businesses and Group Corporate functions to enable the execution Nomura Group Strategy through Robust Data Standards & Governance, Actionable Performance Metrics & MIS, and High Impact Information and Analytics Products and Solution.

 

 

Job Purpose:

 

Highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager for Data Quality platforms. This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing technology projects within budget and scale.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Program Manage the end-end delivery of Data Products; a key liaison between key stakeholders – Product Manager, Product Owner, and business users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, QA) deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Document minutes, actionable and prepare meeting materials to be shared to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage Data product delivery lifecycle - define project scope, timelines and delivery milestones
  • Enable Agile team delivery – define Product Epic, Story and features, work with Product team to track, manage and deliver product features.
  • Manage resource budget and allocations ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost control.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to Stakeholders and CDO senior management.
  • Utilise industry best practices, techniques and standards for project execution
  • Measure project performance to identify areas of improvements

 

Qualification & Core Skills requirement:

 

  • Must have an experience in managing complete data lifecycle engagements
  • Must have business analysis skills – delivered data solutions; analytical use-cases for stakeholders.
  • Must have knowledge on industry grade Data Governance Platforms
  • Must have experience in Scrum Agile team, preferred Scrum master with relevant tooling exposure.
  • Demonstrate past experience with leading change management efforts, collaborate at all levels of a global organization to ensure the successful implementation of change 
  • Must have an excellent client facing communication skills
  • Preferred experience in Financial Services and other consumer centric business
  • Preferred MBA or PMP certification with minimum of 8-10 years of relevant project management experience.
