Department overview:
NPE Branches Financial Control function within the extended / consolidated NFPE Finance team is responsible for the legal entity control and governance of the branches on a day to day basis. This includes providing financial reporting metrics both internally and externally (Tax Authorities or Regulatory Agencies), among other functions. NFPE Branches Financial Control is also responsible for maintaining accounting and internal control systems in compliance with the local Regulatory Authorities, accounting standards and the Nomura's policies and procedures.
Role description:
General and analytical accounting
Management of charges
Posting invoices from suppliers
Travel and expense control and oversight
Vendor and employee payment settlement
Intercompany invoicing
Monitoring and analysis of accounting accounts
Management of monthly recurring entries, provisions and amortizations
BS reconciliations
Assist in the month end, quarter end and the year-end close process
Resolution of incidents and doubts of process
Process documentation
Budgeting
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
University degree not mandatory however other Accounting certifications are required.
Previous accounting experience within an international organization preferable
Ability to work accurately and to strict deadlines
Highly motivated, dynamic, self-starter and a quick learner
Advance level skills in Microsoft Excel
Strong oral and written English communication skills.
