From our London office our Distribution business provides services to a broad range of clients and distributors across the EMEA and Latin America (LatAm) regions. We distribute NAM products covering multiple asset classes, as well as those of affiliated companies including NCRAM and New Forests.



Role overview:

This role is based within the UK Branch of NAMEU (Europe) and supports the activities of the firm’s senior sales team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player, either with some experience of sales support within an asset management environment, or who can clearly demonstrate the attributes required to perform in such a position. The role holder will be expected to be highly proactive, able to prioritise work loads and deliver detailed, high quality and accurate work to meet the standards required by the firm’s clients as well as internal stakeholders. 


All duties and responsibilties must be performed in line with NAM’s policies and procedures. 


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First line sales support, assisting with inbound queries from senior members of the sales team and/or clients and distributors.
  • Research and provide briefing memos in advance of meetings, particularly for colleagues/senior management outside of the team who require background to relationships and individuals we are working with.
  • Roadshow planning/support, helping deliver logistics and collating materials ahead of events and meetings. Where appropriate attend events alongside the sales team.
  • Attend client/distributor calls as required by sales managers, acting as secondary or back-up contact.
  • Build relationships with clients and distributors to enable future 1:1 conversations and follow ups on behalf of the senior sales.
  • Collate meeting notes, review/update CRM (Salesforce) entries, maintain mailing lists and arrange timely delivery of follow up materials. Proactively organise follow-up for the sales managers. 
  • Act as primary administrative liaison point between sales managers and internal teams e.g. marketing, client service, product development, investment specialists, performance/risk, legal/compliance.
  • Assist with and ensure that all new distribution agreements, rebate letters, or updates to existing agreements are completed.
  • Support RFP/DDQ completion.
  • Provide back-up support to other Sales Support team members covering the EMEA and LatAm region as required.


Skills & Experience:

  • Fluency (written and spoken) in English is essential. Additional languages desirable.
  • Team spirit is key, together with the ability to be a self-starter and lateral thinker.
  • Ability to build credible relationships, both with internal stakeholders and externally with clients/distributors.
  • Knowledge of investment asset classes and an interest in capital markets, with a strong desire to learn and develop this further.
  • Experience of CRM systems e.g. Salesforce.
  • Project management / multi-tasking with an ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel and data analytics proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Ideally some asset management experience in a similar type of role.
