Role Overview:
Come join a busy, dynamic global team dedicated to providing global follow-the-sun 1st and 2nd line production support excellence! You will be responsible for the regional leadership, governance, oversight and execution of production services to the Rates, Credit and Securitised Products businesses using your technical and business knowledge in this challenging and fast moving space.

The ideal candidate will have a forward thinking, strategic attitude with the ability to proactively identify trends, resolve issues and drive continual improvement through innovative technologies. You will be responsible for the development and nurturing of our next generation of technology talent as well as the continual upskilling of an experienced team to keep up with our ever evolving technology.

Role / Principal Accountabilities:
Provide Production Services Support and management oversight to the Regional Fixed Income businesses for a wide range of electronic trading platforms and applications, in addition to maintaining our in house\vendor based application solutions designed to facilitate the successful execution of Fixed Income trades.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Production Support management role.
  • Working knowledge of Fixed Income products.
  • The ability to analyse and support electronic trade information, market data,  price valuation, and risk from various platforms is essential.
  • Experience with electronic trading applications that have connectivity to external trading applications such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb and MarkItWire to send/retrieve information.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills being able to provide direction to numerous and diverse teams in a fast paced environment. Motivating teams to adopt best practices both in their work their team’s performance.
  • Naturally take ownership of issues and projects and be the type of person who doesn’t avoid challenges. Confident with adhering to procedure and resilience when faced with demanding clients.
  • Have a problem solving mind set with the ability to review service availability, performance and stability, and proactively identifying service trends and taking the appropriate actions to resolve service related issues.
  • This role will be the point of escalation for the clients, and as such the ideal candidate must have proven experience in managing IT incidents and problem management processes for large complex systems.
  • Take ownership of all areas of IT Governance:  Audit, Operational Risk and BCP requirements.
  • Take ownership of issues and see through to completion as well as diligently managing end-to-end Change/Release processes across the regional Fixed Income systems.
  • Be able to diagnose and effectively communicate/escalate incidents and problems to senior management with confidence.
  • Be able to build strong, collaborative relationships with the business, application development teams, Infrastructure and other functional groups globally. 
  • Customer focused with gravitas and professionalism.  Ability to influence our stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in the role of coach/mentor to junior members of the Production Services team to cultivate junior talent.
  • Be an excellent communicator and listener.
  • Operating systems knowledge (Windows, Unix, Linux).
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g. Shell Scripting, Python, Perl).
  • Good working knowledge of databases and writing SQL queries.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or similar).
  • Experience in supporting and administering DevOps tools as part of the deployment pipeline e.g. Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Elastic, Jira etc.

 

Desirable:

  • Understanding of Fixed Income products.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT automation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Site Reliablility Engineering principles.
  • Understanding of Agile practices and principles.
  • AWS Practitioner Certification or similar.
  • Autosys setup and configuration.
  • Full understanding of ITIL.
  • ECN or Exchange connectivity.
  • Knowledge of KDB.
