Department overview
The Risk Management Department at Nomura is broadly organised according to the main risk classes; Credit Risk Management, Market Risk Management, Operational Risk Management and New Products/Business.
The Risk Management team works to provide a firm wide capital management framework, which takes into account the availability and cost of capital, its effective utilization within and across business lines and the overall capital adequacy of the firm. Risk Management's key activities include ensuring transparency and effectively managing market, credit, liquidity, concentration and tail risk within the risk appetite of the firm and monitoring the effectiveness of capital utilization through the use of limit structures, with an emphasis on stress testing and risk adjusted returns on capital efficiency measures.
Role / Principal Accountabilities
The role will be to provide support Senior Risk Management on a 1-1 basis. The role requires interaction with colleagues and clients across the whole Firm and at all levels.
Specific Responsibilities
- Extensive diary management including multiple time zone meetings
- Liaising with respective teams regarding upcoming meetings and preparation required.
- Arranging global business travel including proposing dates for the trip, suggesting itinerary and arranging all associated visas, covid forms and tests as required.
- Screening calls and all correspondence including inbox management.
- General admin including expense processing.
Skills Required
- Extensive proven experience as an Executive Assistant within Financial Services at Board Level.
- Experience managing an extremely busy diary.
- Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities.
- Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
- Numerate with excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- A pro-active and approachable individual
