Role Description:

 

Key objectives critical to success:

Junior FI portfolio manager able to execute, manage risk, report p/l and resource utilisation across a multi-currency HQLA portfolio.

  1. Front-to-back execution
    1. Ability to source assets taking lead on timing
    2. Knowledge of market structure (counterparties, positioning metrics, technical drivers).  Established counterparty relationships an advantage.
    3. Systems and settlements knowledge
    4. P/L calculation, attribution and explanation
  2. Funding
    1. Knowledge of funding markets (secured and unsecured)
    2. Ability to optimise position funding and leverage this to optimise asset allocation
    3. Repo system and settlements system knowledge
  3. Asset allocation
    1. Ability to propose mandate-appropriate investments
    2. Investment optimisation (selection of assets within investment strategy)
  4. Analytics
    1. Ability to leverage internal and individual resources to optimise p/f allocations
  5. Presentation
    1. Ability to present and explain p/f structure, strategy and performance to a variety of stakeholders

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  1. Experience in either portfolio management, FI trading or treasury funding role
  2. FSA regulated role
  3. Exceptional technical and analytical skills
