The Equity Private Placements and Advisory team in Europe was established in 2016 and has grown quickly with a significant pipeline of mandates and a growing client list. To capitalize on this strong momentum the team is looking to hire an Analyst or Associate who can support this growth and become and become an integral member of this growing business.    

Role description:

 

  • Primarily work on the origination and execution of Equity Private Placements mandates across a broad range of sectors across EMEA.
  • Selectively work on Equity Advisory mandates
  • Advise and work closely with our clients on all transaction elements
  • Continue to build longstanding relationships with all of its key clients to grow the Nomura Equity Private Placements and Advisory franchise
  • Typical work includes a mix of execution and client coverage including: financial analysis, process management and client deal team interaction
  • Required to co-ordinate and work with all other product, geography and industry teams, including: M&A, Leverage Finance, Debt Capital Markets.
  • Opportunity to work on a range of transaction types including: majority of Equity Private Placements (from Series B to Pre-IPO stages) and selectively on IPOs, Rights issues, block trades, equity linked and derivatives.

 

Desired profile, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • A proven background within investment banking with specific Equity Private Placements / M&A and/or ECM / Equity Advisory  experience
  • Project management: ability to manage teams to meet client needs
  • Strong communications skills: ability to interact confidently with clients and banking professionals
  • Outstanding analytical skills, including ability to perform data analysis
  • Excellent financial modelling experience
  • Team work: experience of working in a project based environment with tight deadlines
  • Outstanding academic record
