Role description

Prime Finance is a key part of the Equities business within the Global Markets Division. The Prime Finance Sales team is responsible for all client facing functions within the business including new client origination, day to day coverage, revenue growth and profitability as well as on-going relationship management.

Prime Finance is a global business and the team has daily interaction with colleagues in all regions to ensure the seamless coverage of Hedge Fund clients covering a broad spectrum of strategies across Cash and Synthetic Prime Brokerage products.
 

Responsibilities

  • Primary function is to support the sales trading function of the desk with a focus on start and end of days processes

  • Take on responsibility for managing desk relationship with internal downstream functions

  • Develop understanding of client personnel, strategy, wallet share, providers and competition.

  • Support desk in production of daily client colour and content

  • Support Client Analytics function in production of profitability metrics vs targets, balance move tracking.

  • Understand margin methodologies and calculations, resolve client queries with timely escalation of potential issues.

  • Assess client work drivers and opportunities to enhance processes through changing client behaviours and promoting automation.

  • Participate in strategic project to replace legacy systems with vendor solution, ensure client readiness and execute on migrations.

  • Partner with global team to deliver follow the sun client coverage with clear communication and consistent processes.

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

  • Degree educated and will need to have or obtain FCA Approved Person Status

  • Minimum 2 years industry experience in a client facing role

  • A good / working understanding of prime brokerage and broader equities eco system

  • A strong individual contributor who thrives in a team environment

  • Confident, organised and proactive, able to manage demanding clients, prioritise vs deadlines and seek out opportunities
