Department Overview:

Role Description:
- Month-End Close Activities: Downloading and verifying bank statements, reconciling exchange accruals, managing exchange daily files, and updating payment-for-order-flow (PFOF) accruals.
- Reconciliations: Reconciling billing system data with exchange invoices, daily and monthly exchange data, and PFOF actuals across multiple counterparties.
- Journal Entry Preparation: Preparing and booking journal entries for accruals, actuals, connectivity fees, and other charges, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and Peoplesoft uploads.
- Supporting Reports: Preparing, refreshing, and e-mailing preliminary and final reporting files (P&L, tiers, AOS/Precision, and client billing).
- Other Key Procedures: Refreshing kickout files, updating OCC files, uploading rules to billing system, reconciling unclaimed wires, and ensuring alignment with exchange fee schedules and updates.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- 4+ years of experience in Financial Services organization in an Accounting role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from accredited college/university
- Strong accounting technical skills
- Experience with Options products is required
- Ability to research US GAAP independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent analytics, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Advanced in MS Office particularly in Excel
- Data Visualization tools are a plus
