Role Description:

Nomura is seeking a Regional Team Lead to oversee Identity Operations for the US region, based in Jacksonville, Florida. The candidate must have either Active Directory or ForgeRock Directory Services as a technical skill set.

Reporting into the Identity global manager based in London, this role will manage day-to-day operations for the region and ensure seamless delivery of identity services across the region. The successful candidate will bridge technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to drive operational excellence.

We are looking for someone with strong operational discipline, excellent analytical capability, and hands-on expertise managing Active Directory or ForgeRock Directory Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage regional identity operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management
  • Oversee daily operations of identity management systems and processes
  • Coordinate with global teams to ensure consistent service delivery and best practices
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
  • Manage incident response and escalation procedures for identity-related issues
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into operational procedures
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and present operational reports and metrics to senior management
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

 

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience operating ForgeRock Directory Services or Active Directory in a financial-services or other high-security environment.
  • Subject-matter expert knowledge ForgeRock Directory Services or Active Directory application
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with Unix/Linux/Windows OS support, such as application installation, performance turning and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with Directory Services for deploying distributed LDAP service with global replication across multiple regions.
  • Familiarity with LDAP tools like ldapsearch, ldapadd commands and Apache Directory Studio and equivalent PowerShell tooling
  • Familiarity with network technologies such as Networking and Load balancing concepts, SSO concepts, Apache, Tomcat, Perl, Ansible
  • Ability to perform connectivity troubleshooting (tcpdump, wireshark, telnet, traceroute, nc etc.)
  • Demonstrable PowerShell or Python skills in conjunction with SRE & automation best practices

 

Technical Skills

  • Must have hands-on experience with either Active Directory OR ForgeRock Directory Services
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management principles
  • Experience with either AD, LDAP, authentication protocols, and directory services and other Identity relation systems or disciplines
  • Knowledge of identity governance and administration tools
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or similar)

 

Leadership & Management

  • 7+ years of team leadership experience in IT operations
  • Proven ability to manage and develop technical staff
  • Experience with performance management and team development
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
