Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Middle Office team, focusing on cash equities operations. This role offers the opportunity to work at the interaction with the key senior business and corporate stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee daily cash equities processes for Australia market support local and overseas client.
  • Manage trade lifecycle events to support the desk for trade amendments, allocation, confirmation and settlements
  • Lead reconciliation process between Front office system and external counterparties
  • Collaborate with desk to resolve operational issues and optimize workflow efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal trade controls
  • Supervise and develop junior members while fostering a culture of excellence
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Interface with clients, brokers and custodians to resolve any issues
  • Monitor and report on key operational metrics and risk exposures

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/ economics/ Maths/ Accounting or Business-related subject
  • 7 – 10 years of relevant working experience in middle office, preferable in cash equities
  • Strong understanding of the Australia equities market
  • Experience in major trading platforms and settlement systems
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership to drive improvement and efficiency.
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL or other tech tools will be useful.
