Role Description
Reporting to the IWM COO, the Lead Greater China (GC) Business Development and Strategic Initiatives, will be a member of the COO office responsible for Greater China strategic growth and CAO function in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities
- To meet the goal to strategically and commercially reposition and grow the GC business
- Drive strategic business plans for GC with the client relationship management teams
- To work closely with GC Group Heads with a view to achieve the following:
- GC New RM Hiring Plans / work with GC GHs towards strategic talent acquisition
- GC Key account lifecycle management, CRGs
- GC Client/Prospect Account Planning, Sales and Pipeline Management
- Drive GC One Bank Engagement
- GC Client Events
- GC CAO/BM Team Supervision
- Ensure efficient Client Lifecycle Management
- Operational and Financial Risk Oversight
- GC Governance Forums – IWM Exco, NIHK Exco, HK SFC RO, PWMA
- Work closely with Corporate Function Partners
Requirements
- Knowledge, ability and personality to help guide the required platform, products and business transformation – within the culture of the Nomura organization – which will permit the above stated strategic objectives.
- Recognized and respected Wealth Management professional with the ability to raise the firm’s profile with the market, clients, and bankers, achieve the strategic repositioning, and guide the division to the desired position and profitability.
- The leader will need to have the necessary profile to command a following in the market and to be able to attract the kind of sales, product and support professionals needed to achieve the above-stated objectives. The expectation is for the leader to build relationship and collaborate with the Investment banking and Global Markets platform.
- Strong ability in leadership and management skills
- Excellent client relationship management skills, communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- High level of professional and personal integrity, ensuring all work activities meet the high compliance standards of the Bank and are performed in line with internal and external guidelines and regulatory policies
- Drive to succeed and ability to work independently and as a team
