Role Overview
You will form part of the AEJ Asset Services team. The role tasks you with the processing of all voluntary corporate action events, across entity and product types. The team are responsible for the entire lifecycle of the event, from event data capture through to reconciliation and break clearance.
With a strong focus on risk mitigation and control, you will be expected to manage all risks and exceptions associated with Asset Services processing, addressing such items and ensuring full and timely escalation where appropriate.
In conjunction with event processing, there is also a focus on client service. You will interact with external prime clients, counterparties and internal trading desks daily. Quick query resolution and response is a must to maintain high levels of service.
Due to the ever-evolving environment in the financial services industry, there will be multiple opportunities to be involved with, both, department specific as well as bank wide projects. These range from restructuring and new product launches to process automation using digital tools. You will be encouraged and given the opportunities to learn new skills and tools to help drive value within the firm.
We are looking for a technically strong candidate, with high levels of attention to detail, to come in and hit the ground running. You should be comfortable challenging the status quo and raising suggestions. A proactive mindset and approach is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Processing of voluntary Corporate Action events for all AEJ markets, across product types
- Manage queries from the trading desks and directly with external prime clients
- Help manage the BAU for the team and address questions raised
- Manage Asset Services related queries from clients, both internal and external
- Manage exceptions that may arise and escalate risk in a timely manner
- Substantiate and clear reconciliation issues in a timely manner
- Actively participate in process improvement, innovation projects and technology enhancements
- Perform all the ad hoc requests from the supervisor or manager whenever applicable.
Requirements
- Product knowledge: Equities, Bonds, Equity Derivatives and Prime Finance
- Previous experience in dealing with Prime Clients is an advantage
- 3+ years’ experience of working in Asset Services, within a global markets environment
- Languages – English
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Previous experience with people management an advantage
- Previous experience with process improvement and/or FinTech tools an advantage
