About the Desk

The AEJ SRM is a client coverage team for the strategic accounts of Nomura’s Global Markets business in Asia ex Japan.  The teams acts as the ‘voice of Nomura’ to clients and the clients’ voice to Nomura. We manage firmwide relationships, develop client strategies, drive new business initiatives and improve connectivity across various desks. The team also works closely with other SRM team members in US and EMEA to exchange client insights regularly and drive cross-region initiatives.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use different tools including PowerBI, Bloomberg and Salesforce to consolidate client data and market news. Keep track of client intensity and updates in relation to covered accounts. 
  • Prepare briefing memos for C-suite meetings by gathering information on talking points, revenue data, client background, attendee information, sales commentary, broker reviews, etc.
  • Attend senior-level client meetings, summarize the key takeaways and follow ups, and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to conduct the next steps.
  • Assist regional SRMs in new account onboarding, risk review, regulatory document setup and credit line application. Work with Operations / Legal / Finance / Risk to facilitate onboarding of key clients and the signing of trading documentation such as ISDAs / CDEAs / GMRAs etc.
  • Identify business opportunities to grow Nomura’s wallet and discuss with products on how to market the franchise offerings.
  • Build client account plans and summarize client strategies with regional sales teams across Fixed Income and Equities.
  • Map client-buying centres to ensure comprehensive coverage across products/geographies.
  • Prepare presentation materials to capture Nomura GM capabilities and conduct ad-hoc research.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in building strong relationships with key stakeholders at senior levels
  • Strong Analytical and Problem solving skills
  • Good Knowledge of Capital Market products and asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, Forex, Derivatives)
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other Office applications
  • Is entrepreneurial and independent; self-starter, takes ownership, exhibits integrity, strong motivation and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize high volumes of deliverables across multiple disciplines working under pressure
  • Ambition and enthusiasm to succeed in this challenging role
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools like Excel VBA, Power BI, Tableau etc. would be an added advantage
