Role Description:

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic High Touch Equities Sales Trader to join our fast-paced trading desk. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of U.S. equities markets, superior client-facing skills, and the ability to execute complex equity trades in real-time. The position involves working closely with institutional clients, portfolio managers, and analysts to provide tailored execution strategies and insights, while maintaining a high level of customer service and market knowledge.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Execute large block trades in U.S. equities with a focus on high touch execution, ensuring best execution for clients.

• Develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, and other professional investors.

• Collaborate with research, analytics, and other internal teams to create and execute tailored equity strategies for clients.

• Provide clients with market color, liquidity updates, and trade execution insights in real-time.

• Monitor market conditions, economic data, and relevant news to anticipate and respond to market trends.

• Proactively communicate with clients about market movements and ensure transparent execution strategies.

• Manage risk and compliance requirements while executing trades, adhering to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

• Support clients in navigating complex trades, providing execution services across different asset classes and strategies.

• Track performance and provide clients with post-trade analysis, ensuring continuous improvement in trade execution.

 

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales, trading, or analyst role within the derivatives or broker-dealer space.

  •  5+ years of experience in U.S. equities sales trading, with a strong background in high touch trading.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. equity markets, trading platforms, and execution strategies.
  •  Proven track record of client relationship management and the ability to engage with senior-level clients.
  •  Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to analyze market data and interpret trends.
  •  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations, market structure, and risk management.
  •  Series 7, Series 63, and/or other relevant FINRA licenses are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Familiarity with electronic trading platforms and algos, as well as understanding of execution quality.
  • Experience working with hedge funds, asset managers, or other institutional clients.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments such as options, ETFs, and derivatives is a plus.
