Department overview

Instinet’s Global Product Strategy group is responsible for managing the strategic roadmap of investment in Instinet’s global suite of market leading electronic trading products & solutions. The group has responsibility for conceiving, delivering and enhancing Instinet’s products across all of the firm’s business streams. 

 

Role Description

The Product Manager serves as a key member of the Product Strategy group. They will interface between, and work together with, various groups on product requirements, design, development, testing and overall quality management. The Product Manager may also be asked to investigate the application of new technologies, track industry trends and assist the product and project manager in ensuring that communication and planning occurs across development platforms. The Product Manager works closely with the development and quality assurance teams to ensure that products & solutions that are delivered meet requirements and business goals. This person will assist with the day-to-day product management of the EMEA Region.

 

The role will help shape the strategic direction of the EMEA region across GES, with focus on venues, regulation and ensuring the Products meet the region’s requirements. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Work alongside the Head of EMEA Product to define and execute the product strategy for equity-based products for the region, creating roadmaps which align with the business goals
  • Engage with stakeholders to collect feedback and prioritise product features. Conduct market research to identify customer needs, analyses market trends, trading venue developments and the impacts of regulatory changes. Oversee competitor analysis and adjust product strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the wider Product group, development, and marketing team to develop and launch new products. Managing the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Set product KPIs and track performance.

 

Qualifications

  • Associate or Vice President level equivalent experience in a product management role, preferably in financial services/electronic trading
  • Experience in JIRA/Agile/Scrum/Confluence
  • Strong understanding of equities, options, and futures market structure
  • Knowledge of EMEA trading landscape,
  • Experience of Execution and order management systems
