Overview

 

BlockCross is Instinet’s global electronic block trading platform that delivers actionable crossing opportunities directly to client desktops. The launch of BlockCross in Asia last year marked a significant milestone in the expansion of Instinet’s suite of differentiated liquidity sourcing solutions across the region and we’re inviting applications from client-focused trading professionals to join the team supporting the growth trajectory.

 

This is a front-office trading role covering Instinet’s BlockCross clients. We’re looking for product-orientated candidates who are passionate about next-generation liquidity sourcing, trading technology and automation.  

 

In the role, you will proactively manage client accounts, monitoring trade execution and platform engagement ensuring the highest level of client experience. You will interpret, diagnose and define challenges, apply creativity and critical thinking with the ultimate goal of driving productivity and revenue. You will identify and target new business opportunities, pitching to new and existing clients, cross-selling where appropriate. The position will encompass project work, assisting technology with testing and contributing to the innovation and development of the platform.

 

Above all, you are a team-player with the ability to communicate ideas/solutions to your teammates with a passionate drive to explore your curiosity and improve execution outcomes for clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily supervision of trading and execution for BlockCross clients.
  • Proactively cover and service accounts to drive revenue.
  • Project based work on platform innovation & development in collaboration with the Product team.
  • Apply your passion for technology, systems and processes to resolve challenges.
  • Identify & pitch prospective/existing clients.
  • Build & maintain relationships with a broad range of clients.
  • Work alongside the business, management and other sales & trading teams in order to maximise penetration in client wallets across the firm’s execution channels.
  • Monitor platform interaction & client success using execution reports and statistical analysis.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Financial Services Industry with a focus on client servicing/management covering Electronic Trading Products, Program Trading, Sales Trading or Equity Trading.
  • Familiarity with FIX Protocols and EMS/OMS systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, analytical and time management skills.
  • Advanced communication and presentation abilities with a strong command of English. Additional language proficiency a plus.
  • Strong team player with willingness to teach and learn from others.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with business-growth mindset.
