Role Description
The HK/China High Touch Sales Trader will be responsible for covering a portfolio of key clients, and actively engaging with cross-functional partners to drive trading activity together. You will be required to manage and execute cash equities trades across HK & Singapore for buy side institutions and identify opportunities for trades and business development opportunities.
This position requires a deep understanding of execution strategies, algorithmic trading, and a strong network in the Hong Kong and China markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, and other financial institutions.
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, restrictions, and regulatory developments affecting the Hong Kong and China equity markets.
- Oversee the execution of trades, ensuring adherence to the best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze real-time market information to make effective trading decisions and keep clients informed of developments.
- Develop & maintain good relationships with internal counterparts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Institutional Sales Trading covering Hong Kong and China markets.
- Product knowledge of cash equities, overall vanilla equity product, and strong understanding of execution and algos.
- Knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and trading strategies specific to Hong Kong & China equity markets.
- Strong relationships and experience executing trades for global asset managers.
- Familiar with OMS/EMS, FIX protocol, and trading protocols.
- Excellent verbal, written and relationship management skills, good inter-personal, strong verbal communication skills, and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment.
- Good organization and time management skills. Should be able to work under time pressure.
