About the program
Being part of our Summer Internship program means you will gain first-hand experience and insights to a career in markets. You will have the opportunity to feel our culture, acquire valuable on-the-job training and expand your network.
The Summer Internship program will commence in June 2026 and run for eight weeks in our Hong Kong office. You will be provided with orientation and induction training in the first week, which will typically comprise of business overview sessions where you will learn more about our products, businesses and meet with different representatives across the firm.
After the induction, you will join the Instinet Technology Solutions team in Instinet. Clients of Instinet Technology Solutions take advantage of the innovations we’ve developed to support our own high-volume global agency trading operation—a market-tested platform that performs to the standards of some of the most demanding asset managers and sell-side trading desks in the world. We offer flexible and scalable technology solutions at three core service levels, from fully custom to trade-ready desktop platforms. Working within ITS we hope to give you a meaningful internship experience and help you develop by providing you with significant and diverse responsibilities throughout the program.
Responsibilities
The role will consist of:
Ongoing Product Service
- Correspond with ITS clients on a day-to-day basis on all aspects of product service. i.e. building client environments, add-hoc requests, support inquiries, etc.
- Provide ongoing training and notification of product updates to ITS clients
- Liaise directly with Instinet technology support teams
- Prompt and clear follow-through to all client issues and inquiries.
Product Solutions
- Post-sale coordination and implementation of client development requests with necessary product teams.
- Coordination with relationship managers as to the development effort and cost for any out-of-contract that needs to be put back to the client
- Through knowledge base of product offering and capabilities, make use of all existing product features to provide meaningful solutions to client problems.
Continued Onboarding and Environment Management
- Management of all client related FIX requests…both inbound and outbound.
- Upkeep of client environments including Newport, TCA, System Owner creation, Midway, etc.
