Nomura Greentech Coverage Group
Nomura Greentech is a coverage team within Nomura’s Global Investment Banking Division which provides M&A advisory, capital markets, financing, and solutions services for sustainable technology and infrastructure clients globally. The team focuses exclusively on clients which are using technology to accelerate the transformation of core infrastructure systems – energy, transportation, food, water and waste – to be lower carbon, more efficient and digitally networked.
Responsibilities
The role reports to the Joint Global Heads of Nomura Greentech and the US Investment Banking COO. It involves significant coordination and liaising with the Nomura Greentech Managing Directors, members of International IB COO teams, and other divisions of Nomura. This role offers the opportunity to wear multiple hats and sits at the intersection between many components of the Investment Banking business.
Business Operations

Be an integral part of the management team of Nomura Greentech globally

Develop presentations and deliverables for senior management regarding revenue performance, budgeting, sector analysis, strategic initiatives, etc.

Manage revenue pipeline / forecasting by coordinating with deal teams and senior management; further develop, improve, and automate management reporting processes

Analyze fee pool and market share to assist with the development of business plans

Manage Salesforce CRM system, including the implementation of improved functionality and reporting over time

Prepare documentation and maintain schedules and agendas for management meetings

Facilitation of periodic business meetings and events as part of the Nomura Greentech operating rhythm

Ad-hoc projects as they come up
Marketing and Communication

Facilitate the internal and external deal announcement process, as well as other matters related to marketing and communication

Support Nomura Greentech website maintenance and team introductory marketing materials creation
HR and Talent Management

Actively manage headcount pyramid and monitor staffing ratios

Work closely with HR and regional IB leadership on recruiting strategy, partnering with regional COO teams to manage summer and fulltime class needs and allocations

Collaborate with Talent team on training and development strategy
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree: business / finance / accounting degree preferred

5+ years work experience (preferably in banking, finance or an equivalent field)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Outstanding data analytical skills; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Demonstration of initiative, self-motivation and good judgement in resolving issues

Quick thinking, resourceful, articulate, tactful, and flexible

Capacity to interact with groups of people across corporate functions, divisions, regions, and within Investment Banking

Ability to multi-task and handle pressure with grace

Strong intellectual curiosity in and/or knowledge of investment banking products and related corporate functions preferred

Salesforce experience preferred
